Paul has over 20 years of experience supporting domestic and international projects in the fields of agricultural engineering, wetland management, and environmental remediation related to real estate development. His particular expertise lies in subsurface geophysical and hydrogeological investigations, soil vapor intrusion assessments, in-situ biochemical remediation of soil and groundwater, remedial system design, and hazardous site management. Paul’s wealth of experience includes large scale remediation of residential, commercial, manufacturing and industrial use facilities as well as gasoline stations, dry cleaners, “E” designation sites, New York State Brownfields and Voluntary Cleanup sites, and superfund sites.
Paul previously served as an Agricultural Engineer in an Italian government-sponsored Rural Development Project in the Upper Bekaa Valley in Lebanon where he was tasked with analyzing natural and financial resources of rural communities to help boost sustainable agricultural production. He also previously served as Environmental Warden of Ammiq Wetland in Lebanon where he worked closely with the United Nations, local government organizations, and private stakeholders to develop and implement a plan for the management of natural resources and protection of endangered water bird species.
Paul holds a PhD in Environmental Science. He is a licensed Professional Geologist in New York and an active member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in Lebanon.
Paul has received three New York City Big Apple Brownfield Partnership Awards for successfully managing remedial development projects that demonstrate excellence in the categories of Economic Development (2013), Supportive and Affordable Housing (2016), and Green Building (2016).
