Mr. Al Arag, while at Dewberry Engineers Inc, has worked on and contributed to the Massapequa Flood project in 2016-2017 for DASNY. Mr. Al Arag was responsible for conducting site visits, data collection and entry, and stormwater model development. Mr. Al Arag coordinated with fellow engineers on quality control of data management and worked to develop and evaluate flood reduction and stormwater management system options.

This Project is a flood mitigation project in the Town of Oyster Bay and Village of Massapequa in Long Island. Mr. Al Arag and the team were also involved in evaluating the existing stormwater drainage networks and proposing flood mitigation plan based on the design factors such as construction cost, effectiveness of stormwater management practices, geotechnical conditions and environmental permitting requirements. The stormwater solutions have helped resolving the system capacity issues and urban stormwater storage requirements in a cost-effective way.
