Dr. Mufeed Odeh has over 35 years of experience in engineering Research & Development, consulting, studies & monitoring, government employment and liaising, project design & construction, startup & management of projects, and in academic advising & mentoring of young professionals. Mufeed has technical expertise in sustainable development; environmental management & studies; water & wastewater processes; and hydraulics/fluid mechanics engineering.

Mufeed’s professional success as a researcher, academician and as a professional engineer & manager is notable throughout his career. He established and managed the hydraulic engineering research group at the renowned USGS – Conte Anadromous Fish Research Center in Massachusetts for twelve 12 years. He managed ‘Water & Power Research Center’ at Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority for four 4 years.

Mufeed has been instrumental and team player on various projects around the world. Among others, he managed the first stages of the “Feasibility of Using Nuclear Energy for Electricity Generation & Water Desalination in Abu Dhabi, UAE” (in cooperation with S. Korea’s KAERI). He devised the innovative design of Little Falls Dam fish passage (US Army Corps of Engineers: Potomac River, Washington D.C.).

Mufeed served as environmental advisor during privatization of the Water & Power Sectors in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He was a pioneer, in cooperation with Total Energie (Lyon, France), on the engineering and implementation of the first grid connected PV system in Abu Dhabi, and implemented an ambient air quality monitoring program for Abu Dhabi’s water & electricity cogeneration plants.
