At his previous employment, Mr. Makki was involved in the project in 2005-2012 for Lebanon’s Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR).
The project was under the Initiative of Cultural Heritage and Urban Development financed by the World Bank. Its focus was the rehabilitation and conservation of archaeological sites and historic city centers as well as urban infrastructure mprovements. This World Bank Project considered the historical cities of Byblos, Baalbek, Tyr (Sour), and Saida, addressing the cultural and archeological sites, the old markets (souks), and related infrastructure. The project value was 16 Million USD.
