NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup of Dry Cleaner

Client: VP Capital Holdings, LLC
Location: Queens (Flushing), New York
Services: New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program (NYSBCP); Remedial Investigation, Design & Oversight

HydroTech is providing environmental engineering services to VP Capital Holdings, LLC to remedy the impact of chlorinated solvents in the soil and groundwater of a property located in Queens (Flushing), New York. Pursuant to several subsurface investigations that confirmed and delineated the on-site discharges of chlorinated solvents from on-site drycleaners at the Site, this property was enrolled in the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Brownfield Cleanup Program (NYSBCP). In preparation for future redevelopment of the Site, and in accordance with the requirements of the NYSBCP, HydroTech has prepared a remedial program which incorporates the requirements of the BCP; describes the appropriate remedial measures to achieve compliance with federal, state, and city regulations; and addresses the soil, groundwater, and soil vapor management and remediation procedures. The remedial investigation that informed the remedial strategy for the site was not limited to investigation of on-site contaminants but also included the investigation of a sensitive receptor, a school, located across the street.
